Usually Business is considered as
the way of generating money, no doubt it is a resource of creating money but
its practical definition is quite wide. It is the making and selling of
products, services and ideas which involves many activities like manufacturing,
inventory handling, human resource management, book keeping, finance and sales
management, promotion, advertisement etc. The most important of all these is
the integration of these activities, this integration can be achieved through management that involves planning, staffing, leading,
monitoring and controlling of all these activities.
New businesses, new firms and new
companies are starting every day but unfortunately they fail to cope with the
business world just because of less understanding about the management of
business functions. For the success of business it is necessary to have current
knowledge of management of these business activities.
In the recession period of 2008
huge layoffs from big firms and bankruptcy of many businesses has made jobless
to a large number of workers and business persons. This period has destroyed
many businesses creating the worst unemployment. We are still in the period of
recovery from this recession, starting new own businesses is the only way to
come out from this recession and merely people understands it very well.
People started businesses to earn
their livings but more than 40% of them got failed to continue and shut down
their business due to low business management skills even today it is common
every day up to 50% businesses closed due to incapability of finance handling
and cost management, corporate culture and human resource management, sales
promotion and sales growth management and importantly the adaptation of fast
technology changes, innovation and creativity is very necessary in this
competitive business world.
A business is a successful business
if it is exploiting the opportunity at the right time in all areas of its
activities whether it is in cost management, sales growth, product range or
market capturing. Actually sales growth must be the target of any business that
generates the end (the targeted) revenue.
Precisely, generating huge revenues
is not an easy task; it requires knowledge and implementing ability of business
functions and controlling of all business activities.
